worldpay have confirmed to us that when an EMV transaction is sent from the terminal, in the request message, Value in EMV Tag 9C should be same as ‘DE 3 (Processing code) Subfield 1’.

So if DE3 = 01xxxx, Tag 9C should also be ‘01’.
